JS Savage is a former military officer and SWAT Team member. When he is not writing, he is an emergency physician in a major trauma center. He's also been the acting Medical Director of a State Prison System.

After finishing the Yale Writer's Conference and the International Thriller Writer's School, he undertook an MFA in Popular Fiction at Emerson College, Boston. His workshop instructors included Hank Phillippi Ryan, Michael Cunningham, Robert McKee, Heather Graham, and other noted authors. Not satisfied with that, he did a postgraduate fellowship, and is a certified expert in digital marketing by both the American Management Association (USA) and the Digital Marketing Institute (Europe).

When the weather is good, you can often find him ambling the back roads of Connecticut with his rescue Great Dane, Sally, while they practice Shinrin-yoku, a type of meditation he learned when he was stationed in Japan.
